I’m an ambivert

1st half of prom: introducing all my friends to each other, in the middle of circles getting pictures taken, running places, being loud, making jokes, taking crazy photobooth shots, suggesting playing a game of ninja…

2nd half of prom: sleeping in a corner

Innocence and childish crushes- why is the word childish derogatory? It shouldn’t be. Because even then, on the verge of adulthood, we still had some of that innocence and we still knew about love. It was the worst of times, but also the best of times, the time when we could look back and forward and everywhere but the present, the grey area where we could be both children and adults.

Boring, nice, people are all right. I’m definitely boring to some people and if they’re interested in different things than me I probably won’t seek to hang out with them, but it’s fine if I end up in a situation where I do. We can make small talk about school or clothes and have a fine time.

The people that really bother me are the ones who put people down to make themselves feel better. They’re boring (really, do you have any interests besides spreading malicious gossip?) but also horrible to be around. And I think they do it because they’re insecure, but… it’s terrible! How can they even stand to be in their own company?
